Finite Element Methods for the Solution of Problems with Rough Input Data.

Abstract

This report analyzes a new version of the finite element method when the trial space reflects the structure of the solution and the test spaces guarantee the stability of the method. It is shown on model problems that this approach leads to high accuracy of the approximate solution. (Author)
