Performance Estimate of a Reflecting Light Pipe for Infrared Detectors.

Abstract

A hollow reflecting cone or pyramid can be used to concentrate infrared radiation on to a small photo-detector. This note describes calculations which predict that a five fold increase in flux density should be readily obtainable. (Author)
