Multisensor Calibration Procedure for an All Weather Short Range Air Defense System Concept.

Abstract

A procedure for use in calibrating multisensor parameters for a missile in a level orientation is described in this report. This procedure is based upon a calibration procedure developed by Rockwell International for a vertically oriented missile. The gyro and accelerometer measurement equations, the iterative procedure used to calibrate the accelerometer parameters and the equations used to calibrate the gyro parameters are presented. A listing of the calibration process as programmed in an A/W SHORADS 6-DOF simulation, a program dictionary and sample runs are also included. (Author)
