Base Pressure Measurements on a Projectile Shape at Mach Numbers from 0.91 to 1.20.

Abstract

Base pressure measurements were obtained on an axisymmetric projectile shape with and without a boattail. The tests were conducted in a transonic wind tunnel at Mach numbers of 0.91, 0.94, 0.96, 0.98, 1.10, and 1.20. Data were obtained at angles of attack of 0, 2, 3, 6, and 10 degrees and at circumferential positions around the model in 22.5 degree increments. Results were presented in both graphical and tabular form.
