Fuel Conservation and Construction Equipment,

Abstract

The Army's energy conservation goals and methods for estimating fuel requirements as they relate to construction equipment are identified. The impact of the R&D Center's current procurement strategy and TECOM's test procedures on the Construction Engineering Division's energy conservation program is discussed. Existing methods for determining fuel consumption are identified and evaluated.
