Corporate Culture: What It Is and How to Change It,

Abstract

This paper briefly reviews the concept of corporate culture -- what it is and how it is initially formed and evolved. The bulk of the paper describes what kinds of functions culture serves at different stages of the organizational life cycle, and the implications of those functions for whether and how to change culture. Ten different mechanisms of culture change are described. (Author)
