Area Equivalent Method VISICALC (trade name).

Abstract

This document contains instructions to execute the Area Equivalent Method (AEM). The AEM requires the VISICALC software package and an Apple IIe personal computer or a calculator. The Area Equivalent Method is a mathematical process to calculate Day Night Average Sound Level contour area. The AEM is easy to use and is intended as a screening procedure to determine the need for an airport Environmental Impact Statement. (Author)
