Gwilym Jenkins, Experimental Design and Time Series.

Abstract

The work of the late Gwilym Jenkins is discussed. The course of the joint work by Box and Jenkins is traced beginning with investigation of a problem in experimental design for continuous optimization of a changing process. This led to studies of discrete dynamic models and control problems and finally to work on time series and forecasting. (Author)
