C3I (Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence) System Modification and EMC (Electomagnetic Compatibility) Methodology. Volume 1.

Abstract

The subject of this report is an electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) assessment methodology (i.e., a consistent set of procedures which assure EMC) for modifications to the RF subsystem electronics on (command, control, communications, and intelligence) (C3I) aircraft. To achieve the primary study goal, development of a robust EMC assessment methodology, the effort was divided into six conceptual phases. (1) Bounding the Problem, (2) Investigating Existing Methodologies, (3) Formulating the Assessment Methodology, (4) Developing a Baseline Database, (5) Performing a Baseline EMC Assessment, and (6) Modifying the Database and Fine Tuning the Methodology.
