Global Existence of Classical Solutions to the Equations of Motion for Materials with Fading Memory.

Abstract

This document discussed global existence and decay of classical solutions to the equations of motion for a class of nonlinear materials with fading memory. The existence theorem presented here is an improved version of a previous result of the author. This paper corresponds to a talk given at the Conference on Physical Mathematics and Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations held at West Virginia University during July 1983. (Author)
