Proton-Induced Single Event Upsets in 71 Earth-Satellite Environments.

Abstract

Predicted upset rates are presented, as a function of one experimental parameter, for devices in small earth satellites. Contour maps of SEU rate versus circular orbit inclination and altitude allow predictions at 180-1400 km and 27 deg to 90 deg. A computer program is listed, permitting the reader to calculate upsets in any proton flux. (Author)
