A Theoretical Analysis of Photon Drag Detectors,

Abstract

A theoretical analysis of the spatial response characteristics of photon drag detectors used for the measurement of high power pulses from C02 lasers is presented. Details of the model and the numerical methods employed are described and the results obtained for several electrode configurations together with a comparison of experimental values obtained for a typical commercial device are given.
