Abstract

The 18th Annual Meeting of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Aquatic Plant Control Research Program was held in Raleigh, North Carolina, on 14-17 November 1983, to review current research activities and to afford an opportunity for presentation of operational needs. Papers presented at the meeting are included in this report. These papers include reports of research being conducted in the areas of biological, chemical, and mechanical control methods, and the ecology of problem plants. In addition, papers are included that present the operational problems in various Corps of Engineer Districts. A specific section on aquatic plant problems in the North and South Carolina is included. (Author)
