Globally Convergent Procedures for Solving Nonlinear Minimization Problems.

Abstract

The method developed in this paper applies to a number of nonlinear minimization problems. The bibliography includes the numerical implementation for several applied problems. The main advantages of the author's approach are: generally of the technique, global convergence of the method, its ease of formulation and implementation, and its numerical efficiency. The method can be extended to variational problems.
