Angles-Only, Ground-Based, Initial Orbit Determination

Abstract

Over the past few years, passive, ground-based, angles-only initial orbit determination has hd a thorough analytical, numerical, experimental, and creative re-examination. This report presents the numerical culmination of this effort and contains specific recommendations for which of several techniques one should use on the different subsets of high altitude artificial satellites and minor planets.
