Developing Turbulent Flow in Strongly Curved Passages of Square and Circular Cross-Section

Abstract

A summary is provided of the achievements and recommendations related to this research program. Reference is made to the extensive documentation already published. The appendix to this report contains recent experimental results obtained in a 180 deg curved pipe of circular cross-section. The results differ significantly from corresponding measurements in curved ducts.
