Dynamics of Large Molecules and Molecular Clusters.

Abstract

New techniques for spectroscopy in supersonic expansions have been developed since the initiation of the research program. Examples include: The Construction of a Pulsed, Planar, Supersonic, Slit Nozzle; Absorption Spectroscopy in Supersonic Expansions; Determination of Fluorescence Quantum Yields in Jets; 'Laser-Free' Spectroscopy of Large Molecules in Planar, Supersonic Jets; Medium-Resolution Absorption and Quantum Yield Data in Jets; and Two-Photon Spectroscopy. Some accomplishments since the initiation of the research projects are listed, such as the recording of absorption spectra of ultracold aniline, anthracene, perdeuterated anthracene, and other compounds.
