Influence of Magnetic Shear on the Collisional Current Driven Ion Cyclotron Instability.

Abstract

The effects of magnetic shear on the collisional current driven ion cyclotron instability are discussed by incorporating the self-consistent magnetic shear produced by the currents driving the instability itself.
