Properties of Principal TL (Thermoluminescence) Dosimeters.

Abstract

Of the various techniques that can be used for personnel dosimetry, thermoluminescence dosimetry has emerged as a superior technique due to its manifold advantages over other methods of dose estimation. This has led to the formulation of desired characteristics of a TL dosimeter. Various phosphors have been therefore investigated regarding their suitability for dosimetry. A brief description of important TL materials and their properties is documented in this report. (Author)
