The Perception of Saturation and Hue on Colour Cathode Ray Tubes.

Abstract

As a result of the use of colour cathode ray tubes in military aircraft, an experiment is reported which considered the perception of hue at representative luminance levels. This experiment was conducted to test the theoretical lines of constant perceived hue in 1976 Uniform-Chromaticity-Space. A unique, computer-controlled tri-stimulus colorimeter was used to present two degree stimuli for hue match at luminance levels ranging from 250 to 2000 cd/sq m.
