Larose to Golden Meadow, Louisiana, Hurricane Protection Project. Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement and Draft Mitigation Report.
Abstract
The purpose of this report is to partially fulfill The US Army Corps of Engineers' obligations as mandated by Corps policy and the Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act of 1958 (Public Law 85-624) and the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (Public Law 91-190) by proposing means to mitigate for project-associated wetland losses to be incurred by the construction of the hurricane protection levee. This report will present the hurricane protection project's fish and wildlife habitat losses and explain how these losses can be mitigated.
