Analysis of the Battle of Iwo Jima

Abstract

This paper presents an analysis of the Battle of Iwo Jima conducted by the United States against the Japanese in February and March, 1945. Applications of the principles of war by each side are analyzed. Sample discussion questions are provided for use during group study of the battle.
