Cultural Resources Investigation of St. Friole Island, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin,

Abstract

The research into the developmental history of the Prairie du Chien area, particularly that of the island of St. Friole, took the form of a record and literature search conducted at three different locations--State Historic Preservation Office, the Archives and Manuscripts Division of the State Historical Society and the State Historical Society library. The entire island of St. Friole has been determined eligible for the National Register of Historic Places.
