Optimal Digital Control of a Bank-to-Turn Missile.

Abstract

This work addresses the application of digital optimum control theory to a back-to-turn missile. A optimal guidance law has been developed and tested in several scenarios using a 2-D model. Effects of sample rate, pitch angle, gravity and approximations for small and large roll excursions are discussed.
