Trends in the Production and Consumption of Major Forest Products in the United States. Charts for Use in Classes and Meetings.

Abstract

This report presents 124 charts (figs. 1-124) of statistical information on past trends in the production, consumption, and foreign trade of forest products in the United States. The intent is to provide charts for use in classes or meetings by anyone interested in communicating this information, such as teachers, industry personnel, or state and federal resource managers. The large format of the charts makes them suitable for use with opaque projectors or in preparing transparencies for overhead projectors. Data for these charts were obtained from a variety of published sources, including U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service research reports, U.S Department of commerce industry reports, and trade association reports.
