C3I (Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence) Information Systems Internetwork Study.

Abstract

This report has four subjects: (1) An investigation of DoD protocol standards for computer communications. Emphasis is on the X2.5 protocol and a similar existing DDN protocol. (2) Local area network protocols are discussed with emphasis on security architecture. (3) A study of the logistics usage of AUTODIN and an analysis of a way to reduce the usage. (4) A study of data base management systems and their use in data communications systems. Interfaces to Ada are emphasized in this section.
