Abstract

Jennings Pond Dam is a stone masonry and earth embankment structure approximately 115 feet long and 21.5 feet high. The assessment of the dam is based on a visual inspection, past operational performance and hydraulic/hydrologic computations. The dam is judged to be in fair condition with several areas that require attention. The dam is classified as small and has a high hazard potential. The test flood according to these guidelines ranges from 1/2 the PMF to the PMF (Probable Maximum Flood).
