Abstract

This report contains a variety of data on the distribution of prime contract awards over $25,000 within the United States, by census region and state, for Fiscal Years (FY) 1981, 1982, and 1983. This publication is divided into four Parts: Part I, Distribution of Prime Contract Awards Over $25,000 by Region and State; Part II, Distribution of Prime Contract Awards Over $24,000 for Major Hard Goods; Part III, Distribution of Prime Contract Awards Over $25,000 by State; and Part IV, Distribution of Prime Contract Awards Over $25,000 for Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E). Prime contract data are not a means of measuring the total volume of defense work performed within a state, as a substantial amount of the work may be subcontracted. (Author)
