Cumulative Damage Model for Advanced Composite Materials.
Abstract
The overall objective of this program is to develop a cumulative damage model for advanced composite materials. This involves the development of analytical models and experimental procedures for accurately predicting and characterizing the mechanical responses of advanced composites which have been subjected to conditions representative of those seen in service. This report reviews the achievements of the second of the three phases into which this program has been divided. The objective of this second phase was to refine the model developed in the first phase of the program. With the model developed and refined, a third and final phase will be conducted for the purpose of model verification.
