Computations on Internal Blast from Titanium-Cased Charges in Air

Abstract

This report documents the results of adiabatic internal explosions in systems containing a variety of C-H-N-O fuels in air with the addition of titanium as the active metal. For all of the systems studied, the following were found: adiabatic temperature, overpressure, and yield of each product in terms of moles and as partial pressures for the gaseous products.
