Designing Optimal AOQL Sampling Plans a Computerized Approach.

Abstract

This study provides an algorithm and computer program, coded in Fortran IV, to develop double sampling acceptance plans for attributes which satisfy a specified Average Outgoing Quality Limit (AOQL) and minimize the Average Fraction Inspected at a specified quality level, P sub 1. An analysis of the steps in the algorithm is provided and comparison is made among the results of program runs and Dodge-Romig AOQL and MIL-STD-105D plans.
