Abstract

Johnson Creek Dam at Salem Street, Groveland, Mass, is an earthfill dam with a vertical downstream masonry wall. The dam is about 100 feet long and a maximum of 16 feet high. The dam is considered to be in fair condition. Johnson Creek Dam has been classified in the 'small' size and the 'significant' hazard categories. The test inflow (1/2 the PMF) was calculated to be 3,578 cubic feet per seconds.
