Belief Structures.

Abstract

A belief structure is an inner product space which expresses one's (probabilistic) beliefs about certain random quantities. This structure is a fundamental element of the subjectivist theory of probability. This report provides an essentially non-technical description of the basis of the construction, and the ways in which it differs from more familiar Bayesian constructions. (Author)
