The Performance of Variable Sampling Plans when the Normal Distribution is Truncated.

Abstract

The robustness of standard variable sampling plans by Lieberman and Resnikoff is considered with respect to a truncation of the normal distribution. It is shown how variable sampling plans can be designed if the truncation point and delta are known. For the unknown delta case it is shown that the operating characteristic curve is dependent upon the unknown delta. (Author)
