Replication and Distribution Methods for Future TACS (Tactical Air Control Systems) Distributed Databases.

Abstract

Efficient methods are needed for distributing and replicating data in a distributed information system serving military command and control functions where the loss of elements must be anticipated. Principles of distribution and replication are set forth, along with a characterization of all possible replication configurations and an investigation of some of the possibilities. The closest neighbor approach is a replication configuration evaluator. (Author)
