Analytical and Numerical Modeling of Gyrotrons.

Abstract

This is the final report on work performed during the period 21 May 1980 through 20 July 1984. It describes the research activities of SAI personnel in support of the experimental and theoretical gyrotron development program at the Naval Research Laboratory. SAI conducted theoretical work consisting of analytical and numerical modeling of high power gyrotron radiation devices. The research effort has been focused on: Wideband amplifier design and theory; Megawatt oscillator design and theory; Quasi-optical resonator theory; and RF heating and current drive in a plasma.
