A Study of the Requirements of an Electronic Message Handling Facility.
Abstract
This report describes the initial stage in the provision of a comprehensive information interchange facility on the Defense Research Centre's computer network. It addresses the particular topic of a computer-based scheme for generating, distributing, storing and retrieving messages and identifies the features required. Finally the report describes the design of a system which meets the majority of these requirements and its partial implementation on the Centre's IBM 370 computer. (Author)
