Tensile and Fracture Toughness Properties of Mirage III Spars.

Abstract

Tensile and fracture toughness tests were conducted on specimens manufactured from the flange portions of the main spars of seven Mirage III wings. These have provided specific information relating to the mechanical properties of this component at locations close to where fatigue cracking occurred in service. (Author).
