Preliminary Economic Analysis of the TRIFOOD System.

Abstract

The Tri-Service Medical Information Systems (TRIMIS) Program Office is currently preparing the Functional Description (FD) of a computerized system, referred to as the TRIFOOD system, which will support food service activities in Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs). Current plans are to release a Request for Proposal to potential vendors early in 1985 and to implement the first pilot systems beginning in the fall of 1985 at three pilot sites. This report presents a Preliminary Economic Analysis (PEA) of the TRIFOOD system, using preliminary estimates of the benefits and costs associated with the system.
