Electrochemistry and Electrochemical Methodology in Molten Salts.

Abstract

This work involved chemical and electrochemical studies in ambient temperature ionic liquida composed of either N-1-butyl-pyridinium chloride (BuPyCl) or 1-methyl-3-ethylimidazolium chloride (ImCl) mixed with aluminum chloride. Part of the work involved studies of solute chemistry and electrochemistry in these solvents. A portion of the work involved studies related to properties of the solvent systems. Work was also initiated in studies of polymer electrodes in these molten salt systems.
