Abstract
A description is given of existing affected biological, physical, archaeological, and socioeconomic environmental characteristics in the Nevada/Utah, and Texas/New Mexico bi-state regions where M-X facilities may be located. Natural environment characteristics include water resources, erosion, air quality, mining and geology, vegetation and soils, wildlife, aquatic species, protected species, and wilderness and natural areas. Human environment characteristics include employment and labor force, income and earnings, public finance, population and housing, transportation, energy, land ownership, land use, and native american resources.
