Placement Model Implementation Plan for TOW Weapon System Training

Abstract

Gunner training programs for the TOW antiarmor weapon system could be improved in terms of cost effectiveness by implementing appropriate candidate selection models. Candidate gunner selection factors lend themselves to cost per graduate/dropout/failure analyses as well as to program wide efficiency. A review of related literature and the background problems with TOW gunnery training is presented. The alternative models address cost in terms of attrition vs. graduating gunners for Army wide support. Keywords include: Measure of performance, Training caps, Model implementation, and Tracking training implementation.
