Planning of Combat Operations and Command of Troops with the Aid of Network Graphs,

Abstract

This Russian translation is about network planning and control for combat. Basic concepts are presented and rules of formation of network graphs are described including the order of calculation of their parameters and examples of optimization of networks. This is a first in military literature. It is designed for officers and generals on all branches of the Russian service. Finding new, more effective methods of planning and management for human, time and material resources led to the creation of this new system. It can be utilized during planning of combat training, combat readiness and combat operations. Network graphs make it possible to coordinate numerous activities in short periods of time with smaller expenditures of supplies. Critical and subcritical path methods are used.
