Nebula Instruction Set Architecture (ISA) Evaluation.

Abstract

This effort conducted a review of MIL-STD-1862A (Nebula) Instruction Set Architecture (ISA). Nebula is proposed as a major ISA for embedded computer systems in the late 1980's and the 1990's. Nebula was reviewed from a number of viewpoints by independent reviewers. Part 1 of this report is a summary of the work performed and the conclusions that were reached. Included in Part 1 are an executive summary introduction, background, and a detailed summary of the conclusions reached by independent reviewers. Part 2 is a collection of the reports written by the reviewers.
