Supercomputers and Symbolic Computation.

Abstract

This report is the record of a two-day workshop held at Purdue University on high-performance symbolic computation. The title Symbolic computation and supercomputers reflects the interests of the participants, many of whom are practitioners of symbolic computing on supercomputer-class machines. The goal of the workshop was to assess the current state of affairs, and identify key issues requiring attention. The report is primarily a compendium of the positions taken, recommendations made, and questsions raised by the participants.
