Prime Contract Awards, Fiscal Year 1984.
Abstract
This report presents a variety of current and historical data pertaining of Department of Defense (DOD) prime contract awards. Some data reflect fiscal years as early as 1974, providing more than a ten year perspective on Defense procurement. Seven categories of data on DOD prime contracts are provided. Data are displayed by type of contractor, by procurement program, by method of procurement, and by type of contract pricing provision. Awards publicized to small businesses and awards for research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT/E) are discussed separately, as is the DOD Small Business Subcontracting Program. Beginning with FY 1983, the dollar threshold for reporting detailed information on procurement actions was raised from over $10,000 to over $25,000. While many of the enclosed tables have either column or stub headings of over $25,000, FY 1982 and prior data figures really represent awards over $10,000. Amounts in this report are shown for the DOD agency that awards the prime contracts and not the department or agency that budgets for the supplies or services. Keywords include: Military procurement, Contracts, Costs, Awards, Statistical data, Tables(Data), Department of Defense, Military research, Test and evaluation, Prime contracts, Defense contracts, Purchasing.
