A Strain Gauge Manual.

Abstract

The electrical resistance strain gauge is a very reliable sensor, much used in structural and mechanical testing. This document has been prepared to assist the inexperienced technician in selecting and using these gauges. General recommendations are made regarding gauge types, adhesives, proffing materials and gauge techniques for a variety of environmental conditions.
