Methodology for UV Cured Conformal Coating

Abstract

Printed wiring board assemblies coated with a newly developed UV sensitive material have met the applicable requirements of the Military Specification for Insulating Compound, Electrical MIL-I-46058, Material screening resulted in the development of this new material. A precess for application by spraying, UV curing, and oven bake-out has been developed and documented. A Cost/value analysis has been made and documented. A high rate production facility has been specified and support flow diagram has been produced. Production samples have been processed and delivered. Originator- supplied keywords include: Printed wiring board assemblies, insulation compound-electrical, ultra-violet curing, UV sensitive material, Application and Curing processes.
