The second segment of the report delineates a history of each county involved in the watershed area (Mecklenburg, York, and Lancaster). The third portion of the report indicates all knwon pre-historic and historic sites in the drainage region; these sites are evaluated in tems of cultural significance and in terms of structural developmental effects. The fourth section of this report outlines the results of the special reconnassiance along six creeks in the City of Charlotte. For all sites and Recon. areas herein, we have listed time and cost estimates for professional archeologists to evaluate possible damage by structural development.
