Abstract

The Third European Congress on Biotechnology was held in Munich, West Germany, from 10 through 14 September 1984. This report examines trends in biotechnology suggested by the congress as well as the congress papers on thermophilic microorganisms, biosurfactants, immobilized cells and enzymes, applied genetics, food and feed bioprocesses, and fine chemicals and pharmaceuticals--bioprocesses and downstream processing.
